Eileen spent her professional life doing what she loved most: teaching. As a dedicated 4th-grade teacher and a passionate advocate for children, she made a lasting difference in countless young lives. Her classroom was a place of encouragement and fairness—a sanctuary where every child felt seen and supported. Her commitment to her students and her ability to inspire and believe in others was her true legacy.
Eileen had a lifelong love affair with tennis—including traveling to all four Grand Slam tournaments in the world. Her love of tennis was contagious—she played with joy, watched with passion, and talked about it endlessly.
An adventurous traveler, Eileen had a lifelong passion for discovering the world. Whether exploring historic sites or distant lands, she embraced each experience with a curious mind. She was a voracious reader and would be happiest reading a John le Carré novel with a “hot” cup of tea in hand.
Eileen’s life was rooted in the values she held dear—encouragement, fairness, honesty, knowledge, and above all, love. She had an insistence on being her authentic self while being thoughtful of others, with a quiet strength. Her love for her family was unconditional, and her friendships were deep and enduring.
